Bob Dylan's
Lyrics
Bob Dylan and Suze

Notes

This is an indexed version all Bob Dylan's lyrics. The texts stem from www.bobdylan.com where I selected all 403 songs written or co-written by Bob Dylan. The only exception is the Modern Times lyrics which stem from expectingrain.com.

.

The header "All words" contains links to all words - nearly. I have omitted links to the most common words, as there is no meaning in linking to all songs with for example the word "the", as it will result in links to all 403 songs. Here is a list of the omitted words:

Bob Dylan is the author of the songs that created the self-identity of a whole generation in the 1960's. He has never accepted to be the spokesman of his generation. He has stated that he simply wants to be a singer-songwriter.

.

He has always borrowed heftily from folk music and from other artists. See for example the Wikipedia debate on the album "Modern Times" and the connection to Henry Timrod's lyrics of the 1860's.

.

Being a singer-songwriter with 400 impressive songs in your songbook is worth a Nobel prize!
